Free Tour Carmona: Lucero of Europe
Overview
We will start in the central Plaza de San Fernando, historic heart of the city and ancient Roman forum, to enter into a journey through more than 5,000 years of history. We will visit the City Hall, the imposing Priory of Santa Maria ("Cathedral of Carmona"), the Monastery of Santa Clara and the Convent of the Descalzas.
We will stroll through the monumental Plaza de Abastos, a former disentailed convent converted into a market, and arrive at the spectacular Puerta de Córdoba and the Alcázar del Rey Don Pedro (today a Parador), with unforgettable views of the Vega de Carmona. We will discover palaces, stately homes, the Museum of the City and the history of the Carmo coin, symbol of the privilege of minting its own currency. We will also talk about the typical gastronomy, the English cake, the "alboronía" and the most important festivities.
We will finish at the Puerta de Sevilla and the church of San Pedro with the curious "Giraldilla". All this accompanied by an official tour guide, in small groups, with exclusive recommendations and a surprise gift.

Our Guides
On arrival
The tour starts at the Plaza de San Fernando, the nerve center of the city of Carmona. The guide will be waiting for you with a black umbrella with the logo of Ciudad Secreta Tours.
Things to note
-The tour can be rescheduled in case of extreme weather conditions.
-For rainy days, it is recommended to bring an umbrella and/or raincoat.
-On very hot days, it is recommended to bring a bottle of water, sunscreen and sunglasses.
-Please be punctual and be at the meeting point 10 minutes before the tour starts. The guide will wait a maximum of 5 minutes before starting the tour.
-All monuments will be visited from the outside (except for the Mercado de Abastos, which we will enter whenever possible).
