Overview of the tour in Campeche

Discover the Puuc Route archaeological site of Edzna

This ancient city was just discovered in the 1920 and with its very particular style of architecture, Edzná is the best example of a Mayan empire that grew thanks to fluvial communications with the rest of the Yucatan Peninsula and even the far-away society of the Aztecs.

We will board the "colectivo" next to the Pedro Sáinz de Baranda Market, which will take us on a 55-minute ride to the entrance of the site. Edzná is better enjoyed having two complete hours to spare while enjoying the views and the stories behind each area. At the end, we will return to the highway to catch the colectivo back to Campeche. This may take some minutes as we have to wait for the ongoing collective in and out of San Francisco de Campeche's daily routes.

This experience ends in the market at the starting point!

Meeting point

Puerta de Tierra, Campeche

On arrival

Our meeting point will be at La Puerta de Tierra (it may appear as The Land Gate on Google Maps), just at the end of the 59 Street corner with 18 Street. There's the Hacienda Puerta Campeche Hotel on one side and the Rincón Colonial Cantina on the other.

Things to note

Mornings in Campeche are a little bit hot (between 28 and 30 degrees), and as the day reaches noon, it gets a little overwhelming with temperatures reaching +35 degrees. We strongly recommend taking more than 1L of water with you, as well as comfortable shoes, light clothing, a good hat or cap, and some sunblock screen to protect your skin.

Free Cancellation

You are free to cancel a booking anytime. We kindly remind you to cancel bookings you cannot arrive for. Being reported as absent decreases your customer level points and the benefits you can enjoy.
