Overview
San Isidro, in the Northern Zone of Greater Buenos Aires, is a destination that perfectly blends historical charm with modern vitality. This free tour is a fascinating immersion into the rich history of a neighborhood that, just 20 km from the capital, served as a summer resort for the high society of Buenos Aires. Through its cobblestone streets, we will unravel the secrets of colonial mansions and the imposing neo-Gothic architecture of the Cathedral. This tour offers a more intimate side of Argentine history. The tour balances architectural heritage with natural beauty.
We will meet at the San Isidro flagpole to begin a walk that includes: Plaza Mitre: A beautiful park with a terraced garden and its iconic floral clock.
San Isidro Cathedral: An imposing neo-Gothic style building, whose history dates back to 1706.
Quinta de los Ombúes: Visit this architectural relic that witnessed the birth of the municipality and offers one of the best panoramic views.
Quinta de Pueyrredón: A historical space with centenary trees and the famous carob tree, witness of the meeting between San Martín and Pueyrredón.
