Overview

Welcome to Buenos Aires!
A city of passions, not dates.
At first glance, Recoleta is elegant and quiet, but beneath the surface beats the true spirit of Buenos Aires: dramatic, nostalgic, and deeply human.
At RMT Cultural Crossings, we believe that a city’s soul is revealed through its hidden stories.
We don’t come here to admire the wealth of others; we come to understand the myths and obsessions that shaped Argentina’s identity.

What will you discover on this tour? Palaces and secrets: We’re not interested in fortunes; we’ll tell you about the real scandals, rivalries, and myths of the legendary Avenida Alvear.

The Twist of History: How a refuge for austere monks became the tragic epicenter of high society.

Myths in the Cemetery: We’ll decipher Recoleta Cemetery as a living book of urban legends, Freemasonry, pacts, and tragic love stories (WE WON’T BE ENTERING).

The Current Pulse: We’ll connect with the energy of its parks and the Law School to understand today’s Buenos Aires.

On arrival

We’re located on Pasaje Arturo Toscanini, a beautiful, hidden pedestrian alley next to the Teatro Colón (it runs parallel to Viamonte Street, between Cerrito and Libertad). We’ll meet next to the old streetlights in the alley. We recommend arriving 5 minutes early so we can start on time. I’ll always get in touch via WhatsApp.

Things to note

For your comfort and safety during the hike, please be sure to bring:
- Comfortable hiking shoes
- Sunscreen: to protect yourself
- Water: at least 1.5 liters per person to stay hydrated throughout the hike.

How can the tour be free?

Our concept is simple — there is no set price. Instead, you tip your guide at the end of the tour whatever amount feels right to you. Typically, guests give between $10 to €50, depending on their satisfaction and budget.

Most guides accept cash or card payments, or you can do it via our app.
