Overview
We start at Plaza de Mayo, the historical and political heart of the city, where you will see the Casa Rosada, the Metropolitan Cathedral and the emblematic Calle Defensa, one of the most vibrant streets in the world. We will go around the Casa Rosada to get a panoramic view of Puerto Madero and its impressive skyline.
From the old Cabildo we will enter the historic downtown area, walking through colonial streets and the Manzana de las Luces. We will continue along Avenida de Mayo, admiring its European-inspired architecture, cross Avenida 9 de Julio to analyze the unique Palacio Barolo and contemplate the iconic Obelisk. The tour ends at the esplanade of the National Congress.

On arrival
I will be standing next to the Pirámide de Mayo, the white obelisk right in the center of Plaza de Mayo. I will be easily recognizable: I will be wearing a light blue T-shirt and a blue backpack.
Things to note
Note that there are intermediate stops along the itinerary to observe other attractions in the city.
Physical Demand: The general demand is low, but the tour requires good condition for a 3-hour walking effort with stops. Buenos Aires is flat, but the road to the area of "El Bajo" presents a slight incline that may require more physical effort.
Punctuality ("Hora Latina"): To ensure that everyone joins in, the official departure occurs 10 minutes after the meeting time. Stop times are estimated and flexible. Consider a margin of plus or minus 30 minutes for the end time when scheduling your next activities.
