Overview

You will stop looking at statues and buildings and start identifying geopolitical interests. This tour is not a conventional walk; it is the key you need to understand Argentina. You will discover information that is not included in traditional historical accounts, revealing the marks left by foreign powers in the design of this nation and in our current reality.

This is a historical walking tour in which you will be able to tie together clues that are in the same square, but that almost no one sees. The tour includes the context of the birth of the city, the British invasions and the conflicts between European crowns. You will explore the relationship of love, hate and admiration with the English, the desire for progress, the memories of the people and the struggles against power (and for power). You will analyze self-interested hypocrisies until you reach a generation that dreamed of a great Argentina and that marked the pride of our people.

Meeting point

Pirámide de Mayo en Plaza de Mayo

On arrival

We will be in the center of the Plaza de Mayo, exactly at the foot of the Pyramid of May (the white obelisk surrounded by a fence, located in the geographical center of the square). It is the most iconic point and easy to locate.

You will easily recognize me because I will be wearing an orange beret. I will also be wearing a blue backpack with orange details and dark glasses. I will be standing by the base of the Pyramid waiting for the group.

Things to note

All historical sites are visited on foot from the outside, with the exception of the Metropolitan Cathedral of Buenos Aires, which we will visit on the inside during our morning schedule. At the end of the experience, you will be able to visit the Casa Rosada Museum and the Historic Cabildo on your own, subject to their own opening hours and conditions. We recommend you to come with comfortable shoes and keep a close eye on the messages on the platform after confirming your reservation, as we will coordinate the final details and useful tips for our meeting.

This is an outdoor tour that can be done even in the rain. In case of heavy rain, we will reschedule or cancel according to the forecast. Please make sure the phone number on your reservation is correct, as we will contact you by WhatsApp to send you the exact location of the meeting point. If you booked for the same day or at the last minute, we ask you to be attentive to our message to confirm your attendance and avoid delays.

Cancellation policy

You are free to cancel a booking anytime. We kindly remind you to cancel bookings you cannot arrive for. Being reported as absent decreases your customer level points and the benefits you can enjoy.
