Overview
Welcome to Ixelles, very close to the capital of Belgium and one of the most important political centers in Europe. Our tour starts at the impressive Flagey, considered one of the warmest squares in the world and very much at home with the locals. This square has been for centuries the historical and commercial heart of the city. Thanks to the lakes, the boulebars and the monastery La Cambre with its gothic church, incredible courtyards and centuries-old buildings.
A few minutes walk away is the famous Bois de la Cambre park, with gravel paths, asphalt, lakes and restaurants, close to the historic university center, perfect for learning about the vegetation and biological processes of the forests of Belgium.
Then we head to the Rue de la Loi, where emblematic buildings of the European Union are located, such as the Berlaymont Building, headquarters of the European Commission.
Finally we visit the majestic Parc du Cinquantenaire, famous for its monumental arch and museums such as the Royal Museum of the Armed Forces and Military History and Autoworld, part of the history and culture of the city.
