Join me to discover two alpine treasures of Slovenia: Bled and Bohinj.
We start at the iconic Lake Bled, where you will have the chance to sail on a traditional pletna boat to the small island, visit the baroque church and ring the wishing bell.
You can taste the delicious potica, a typical Slovenian cake, while gazing at the medieval castle of Bled, suspended on a cliff. I will tell you the legend of the sunken bell and the story of the Brixen bishops, as well as the visionary ideas of Dr. Rikli, a pioneer of health tourism.
Then we will head to the wilder and more serene Bohinj Lake, surrounded by the majestic Julian Alps, where the Church of St. John the Baptist is located. Finally you can enjoy the local cuisine in a typical gostilna.
