In July 1209, Béziers became the scene of the first major battle of the Crusade against the Cathars.
During this immersive, self-guided narrative experience, you’ll follow in the footsteps of Raimon de Laurac, a Cathar resident whose name is among the 222 people claimed by the Crusader army. Through his eyes, discover the iconic sites of Béziers and relive the events that led to one of the most significant massacres of the Middle Ages.
Combining medieval heritage, historical anecdotes, and a tour of the old town, this cultural journey invites you to explore the city at your own pace while immersing yourself in a pivotal period of Languedoc’s history.

After you make your reservation, you’ll receive all the information you need to begin your mission, including the exact starting location and directions.
