Our Guides
On arrival
I will be in the compass rose directly in front of Belfast's Big Fish, just after the traffic lights. Look out for my bright blue backpack and festive Santa jumper!
Things to note
Do we have set pubs to visit?
Yes, I have a planned route and good relationships with several pubs.
However, Christmas in Belfast can get busy, so I may switch venues on the night to keep the experience smooth, cosy, and enjoyable. Flexibility = festive magic.
What happens if I’m running late?
Please send me a message through the app to let me know you’re still coming.
We’ll remain at The Big Fish for the first 15 minutes before we begin our meander.
Is there a dress code?
Festive cheer is very welcome, Christmas jumpers encouraged!
Please avoid football, rugby, or GAA tops (or any standout sportswear). Some venues won’t admit guests wearing these, and I’d hate for you to miss out. Play it safe, stay Christmassy.
Do we get food? Can we buy food?
No food is provided as part of the tour.
Most pubs on our route have kitchens, and you’re welcome to order during our 30-minute stops, just enough time for a quick bite or bar snack.
Any free drinks?
This is a free / low-cost / pay-what-you-think-it’s-worth tour.
So no, I don’t provide free drinks — but you can grab whatever you fancy at each stop.
Will we have somewhere to sit?
It’s Christmas. The pubs are lively. Seating is not guaranteed.
We’ll try to find space, but if you need a seat for medical or accessibility reasons, please let me know in advance and I’ll check with the venues.
How can we pay?
All forms of modern magic:
Digital link, PayPal, Monzo, Revolut, or cash - whatever works for you.
Are kids allowed?
Children are welcome in theory, but entry is always at the venue’s discretion.
Most pubs allow under-18s until about 8pm, so daytime tours are usually fine.
On evening tours (17:30 start) the final venue may not admit children.
Anything about behaviour?
It’s Christmas - enjoy yourself!
Just keep things friendly and respectful. If things get too rowdy, I may ask you to leave the tour (in the nicest Belfast way possible).
