Batumi Through Time – Free Walking Tour & Georgian Wine Tasting
Overview
Our journey begins in 6 May Park at the monument to Fadiko Gogitidze, Georgia's first female pilot. Along the way, you'll hear the touching story of Kupata, Batumi's beloved stray dog, before exploring the city's multicultural heritage.
Visit the Public Library, Synagogue, City Hall, Circus, Europe Square, Medea Statue, Astronomical Clock, Poseidon Square, Drama Theatre, Hotel London, St. Nicholas Church, Orta Jame Mosque, and the Armenian Apostolic Church.
Walk through Old Batumi and discover how Georgian, Greek, Ottoman, Russian, Armenian, Jewish, and European influences shaped the city. The tour ends with a tasting of four traditional Georgian wines, where you'll learn why Georgia is recognized as the birthplace of wine, with over 8,000 years of winemaking tradition.

On arrival
Please arrive 10 minutes before the tour starts.
Meet your guide at the Fadiko Gogitidze Monument in 6 May Park, located in the heart of Batumi. Your guide will be waiting next to the monument with a Batumi Service Info (BSI) sign or badge.
If you have any difficulty finding the meeting point or are running late, please contact us.
Please make sure to provide a phone number with an active WhatsApp account when booking so we can contact you if necessary.
We also recommend arriving a few minutes early and using the map provided in your booking confirmation to easily locate the meeting point.
Things to note
• The tour lasts approximately 2 hours (depending on the group's pace).
• Please wear comfortable walking shoes and bring drinking water, especially during hot weather.
• The tour operates in most weather conditions. However, in case of heavy rain or severe weather, the tour may be cancelled or rescheduled.
• At the end of the tour, guests are invited to enjoy a complimentary tasting of 2 traditional Georgian wines. Wine tasting is available only for participants of legal drinking age.
• This is a Free Walking Tour. There is no fixed price for participation. At the end of the tour, you are welcome to support your guide with a tip based on your experience and satisfaction.

You are free to cancel a booking anytime. We kindly remind you to cancel bookings you cannot arrive for. Being reported as absent decreases your customer level points and the benefits you can enjoy.
