Overview
We start at Sant Pau del Camp, a 10th-century Romanesque monastery standing in silent contrast to the urban pulse. From there, we trace the history of medieval leper colonies at Plaça del Pedró and wander past former red-light districts and infamous brothels. Stop outside Bar Marsella (1820), where Hemingway and Picasso drank absinthe, and explore the tranquil courtyards of the Hospital de la Santa Creu, where Gaudí spent his final hours.
We then cross from historic sanctuaries into modern culture, passing through the MACBA, the CCCB passages, and the University of Barcelona, before ending at the haunting abandoned infants' wheel at the Casa de Misericòrdia.
