Discover more than 2,000 years of Barcelona’s history guided by an archaeologist and museum director on a tour where history, archaeology, interesting facts, and legends come together to help you see the city in a whole new light.
We’ll walk alongside the Roman walls, the Cathedral, Sant Felip Neri, Plaça del Rei, Pont del Bisbe, and Sant Jaume, uncovering stories of Romans, saints, kings, wars, and surprising figures.
We’ll also venture into the Jewish Quarter, wandering through its narrow medieval streets to learn about the life of Barcelona’s Jewish community, the Major Synagogue, the Dispute of 1263, and the dramatic assault of 1391.
We don’t just want to show you monuments. We want to reveal its secrets, legends, and hidden traces.

On arrival
The meeting point is on the steps of Barcelona Cathedral, on Pla de la Seu, right in front of the cathedral’s main entrance.
The guide will be waiting on the steps of the Cathedral with a BLACK UMBRELLA, so you can easily recognize the group.
Please arrive 10 minutes before the start time.

The meeting point is located in the heart of the Gothic Quarter and is easily accessible on foot and by public transportation.
Things to note
• The tour takes place entirely on foot through the Gothic Quarter, so we recommend wearing comfortable shoes.
• The activity takes place outdoors. In case of rain, we recommend bringing an umbrella or raincoat.
• The tour lasts approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes.
• The tour does not include admission to monuments or museums. All explanations are provided during the outdoor tour.
• We recommend arriving 10 minutes before the start time so we can begin on time.
• The tour combines history, archaeology, heritage, interesting facts, and legends, and is led by an archaeologist and museum director.
• Since this is a free tour, there is no set price. At the end, each participant is free to evaluate the experience and make whatever contribution they deem appropriate.
