1. Big Buddha Temple (Wat Pak Nam Phasi Charoen)
This temple is famous for its massive 69-meter seated golden Buddha (Phra Buddha Dhammakaya Thep Mongkol), completed in 2021, which is the tallest in Bangkok. Located in Thonburi, this historic Ayutthaya-era temple is also renowned for its stunning emerald-green glass stupa, a major center for Vipassana meditation, and a tranquil atmosphere surrounding the canals.
2. Khlong Bang Luang is a charming, historic canal-side community in Thonburi, Bangkok, known for its traditional wooden row houses, rustic atmosphere, and the famous Artist's House (Baan Silapin). It serves as a tranquil escape from city life, offering local food, art workshops, and a glimpse into old-world Bangkok, with active, nostalgic scenes particularly on weekends.
