Overview

Welcome to Baiona!

I invite you to discover one of Galicia's most beautiful coastal towns on a friendly 2-hour guided tour.

Together, we'll explore the historic center, its cobbled streets, lively squares and magnificent waterfront. We'll talk about the fascinating history of Baiona, famous for being the first port in Europe to announce the discovery of America with the arrival of the caravel La Pinta in 1493.

Along the way, we'll discover the ancient ramparts, the fishing port, Galician maritime traditions and the local legends that have shaped the town's identity.

I'll also share anecdotes about local life, the pilgrims who passed through Baiona on the Portuguese route to Santiago de Compostela, and the town's close links with the Atlantic Ocean.

The tour ends facing the bay, with superb views of the Cíes Islands and the Galician coast.

An ideal way to discover Baiona through the eyes of an official local guide.
