Free Tour: History and Legends of Baeza

I will wait for you at the Barbudo Arch where I will give you a brief introduction to understand why Baeza has such a rich heritage.

We will go to the Old University where D. Antonio Machado taught and we will sit at his desks to learn about his life and the nice anecdote he had when he arrived in Baeza.

We will stop in front of the facade of the spectacular palace of Jabalquinto and talk about "certain details" that, if I don't tell you about them, would go unnoticed and you would miss understanding why the church could have mutilated it.

We will go up for a walk through stone alleys that were walked by a Hollywood actor and we will talk about one of the most curious tombs in Spain and who is in it. You will understand why there is such a mixture of styles in the cathedral, or who was the conceited nobleman who attached his palace to the cathedral and how he died. We will talk about one of the most beautiful fountains in Spain, why there are so many red letters in the seminary and why the people of Úbeda don't like to pass by that corner.

And we will finish in the Plaza del Pópulo with the curious stories that made it look so different from the original square.
