Overview

We start our tour at the synagogue at Kriegshaber. Kriegshaber was an independent village before it became part of Augsburg. There, a Jewish community flourished from the 16th till the 19th century. We will visit the synagogue and walk the main street of Kriegshaber, where Jews dwelled. With the tram we will go then to Königsplatz in Augsburg and visit the nearby Jewish Museum and Synagogue of Augsburg that tell about Jews living in Augsburg from the beginning of the 19th century till today, but also between the years 1220 till 1438. After that and to summarize the topic of our tour, we will go to the old city on the tracks of the so-called 1st Jewish community (1220-1438) and the 2nd Jewish community (1821-1942).
