Overview
Walking tour that begins at the Monument to the Holy Week, where there will be a fairly complete introduction to the history of Arcos de la Frontera, continuing to the historic center but not before visiting the Hospital San Juan de Dios.
We will access the old town through the Puerta de Jerez and visit old palace houses, several churches and the impressive Plaza del Cabildo, where we will find the Ducal Castle, the Basílica Menor de Santa María de la Asunción, the old Casa del Corregidor and an impressive viewpoint.
After this important stop, the tour will continue visiting the Convent of the Mercedarias Descalzas, the old Temple of the Jesuits and the Church of San Pedro.
But not before telling the curious and particular story between an old corregidor and a miller in this town.
The tour will end at the Mirador de Abades but not before talking about the Guadalete River and other white villages that begin to be seen in the distance at this viewpoint, being Arcos de la Frontera the gateway to the entire route of the white villages.
