Free Tour Alicante Old Town
Overview
We’ll explore the Explanada de España, the elegant Town Hall Square, Casa Carbonell, and the Basilica of Santa María, then leave the crowds behind as we wander through charming backstreets and up to the Santa Cruz quarter — a peaceful hillside neighborhood filled with whitewashed houses, colorful flowerpots, and stunning views. Don’t miss the Blue Pots House, one of Alicante’s most photogenic corners.
Along the way, we’ll stop at a family-run nougat (turrón) workshop, crafting this sweet treat for over 140 years and six generations, where you’ll enjoy a free tasting of artisan turrón and local liqueur.

The tour ends at the lively Central Market, the beating heart of local life — a perfect place to keep exploring Alicante’s colors, aromas, and flavors on your own.

Explanada de España 1 — at the beginning of the Explanada, next to the fountain/roundabout and the Tourist Information Office.
The Explanada de España is the mosaic promenade running parallel to the port, famous for its wave-shaped pattern in red, blue, and white tiles.
Please make sure you come to the beginning of the promenade, around the 1st, near the fountain and Tourist Office.
Your guides will be waiting there wearing purple T-shirts and carrying purple umbrellas, so you can easily find us
