Welcome to Ethiopia! Upon arrival, we will meet you at the airport. After a short refresh, begin your sightseeing tour of Addis Ababa with a drive up to Mount Entoto for a panoramic view of the city. Descend and continue to the National Museum, where you’ll have the chance to see the famous fossil of Lucy, one of the oldest hominids ever discovered.
Next, visit the Ethnographic Museum, formerly the palace of Emperor Haile Selassie. After lunch, we will take you to one of the holiest churches in Ethiopia, the Holy Trinity Church, where you will see the tombs of Emperor Haile Selassie and enjoy the remarkable artwork inside. You’ll also have the opportunity to explore the church’s museum.
To conclude the day, we’ll drive to Merkato, the largest open-air market in East Africa.
In the evening, enjoy a traditional Ethiopian dinner accompanied by folkloric performances representing the diverse ethnic groups of Ethiopia. You’ll also experience the authentic Ethiopian coffee ceremony.
Afterward, you’ll be transferred to the airport for your departure.
