Colombo to Adams Peak Tour

The beauty of the tropical rainforest surrounding the Sri Paada (Adam's Peak) Mountain is discovered on this overnight trekking tour. The third-largest sanctuary in the country, Peak Wilderness Sanctuary, is explored as Sri Lanka's second-largest peak is hiked up.

The day starts with a pickup and transfers to Nallathanniya trailhead in an air-conditioned vehicle. A brief and thorough description of the route is given by your guide, and then the ascent through the forested mountainside begins. Along the way, a packed dinner is enjoyed on the trail.

The fitness is challenged as the climb up the thousands of steps built in cement or rough stones, called "Mahagiridambe" (meaning the great boulder or rock), is undertaken. Considered a sacred pilgrimage, the climb will be worth the effort when the peak is reached. Finally, we will drop you off at your pickup location, concluding the tour.
