A full day activity. It takes about 12 hours.
Hiking from the main entrance of the park to the top by the El Alpinista trail, what it takes about 5 hours. Birds and reptiles watching, eventually foxes and rodents. The summit is a natural view point from where you can watch the ocean and the Mount Aconcagua, the higher one of America. The last third is steep, rocky and expose to sun, and you will need hiking poles and even some crawls. About 3 hours way back.

No knee injuries, good health, over 12 years old.

Clothing & personal gear: Hiking (or comfortable) shoes, backpack, long sleeve shirt, light fleece or sweater, sun screen, jockey or hat, sunglasses and camera. Pants (No shorts, for your own protection) Spare T-shirt. Fall-winter: Hiking shoes, waterproof/warm jacket, beanie and gloves.
