Free Tour Valledupar: Historic Center

This experience begins in the most emblematic place of the city, Plaza Alfonso López. Under the Palo de Mango, feeling the fresh breeze of the Sierra, a brief historical overview is given of how Valledupar was founded and the origins of the Vallenato Legend Festival.

We will see the key moments, such as the colonial architectural houses and the Church of the Immaculate Conception, home to the Patron Saint of the city. We’ll continue walking through its foundational blocks service alleys, and along the way, we’ll learn about the vernacular architecture of the houses, the old Valledupar, important figures, myths, legends, anecdotes, and Vallenato traditions.
