Gardens and Pushkin Palace Tour
Overview of the tour in St Petersburg
In this excursion, we made a guided exit to the city of Pushkin where we find this palace and its gardens. A place dominated by the color Gold and that will undoubtedly dazzle us. A palace built in 1717 by order of Catherine I and that was abandoned after his death to be replaced by the palace of Pavlovsk.
Built in the beginning in the Rococo style, it has been renovated and rebuilt several times, the most important reconstruction was in 1752 by order of Empress Isabel, who ordered the domination and complete reconstruction by a more modern and ostentatious palace. The palace that wore more than 100 kg of gold in its facade.
Later the Empress Catherine the Great happened to reside in this luxurious palace that did not stop gaining fame for its incredible decoration. Although Catherine the Great seemed ostentatious the Palace decided to make some changes and reside in it. On this occasion, the palace was oriented to the Neoclassic style with a large development of it.

On arrival
We are under the yellow arches right in front of the Hermitage palace.
From the Nevsky Avenue from the Hermitage simply cross the square (Palace Square) and under the yellow arches you will find us on the Bolshaya Morskaya street and the meeting point is at the end of the street crossing the great corridor.
Things to note
Not included: Ticket and transport (2500 roubles per visitor). It must be paid at the beginning of the excursion.
Minimal group: 3. If 2 or 1, visitors must pay as for 3.
Bookings made less than a week in advance could be rejected due to Museum entrance allowance.
