Overview of the tour in Rome

This tour of Rome is not about restored monuments, "cleansed" of historical layers like the Colosseum or the Forum. The ground beneath us in Rome is like a stack of pancakes or an Italian lasagna - all eras are valuable and important!

Our path is a true immersion into the layers of Roman lasagna, where we will pay attention to every time layer like professional archaeologists. We will view the city from a bird's-eye perspective and discover details that escape the ordinary observer. Along the way, we will visit the world's most famous keyhole and see three states at once. We will descend to the flow of the Tiber, to the very origins of Rome's history, and learn about the identity of its first inhabitants.

We will color even the "dark" mystical Middle Ages with vivid legends, rising to the heart of a real 13th-century fortress. Together, we will explore the most unexpected architectural structure in Rome - an ancient pyramid in Egyptian style!

This walk is not for everyone but only for the most curious and active travelers who want to peek behind the scenes of the Eternal City and see Rome from a new perspective.

On arrival

Our meeting point is just outside of the café GUSTO MASSIMO in front of the exit from the subway station.

Things to note

The route is approximately 7 km long. Please check this requirement before booking:
- Good physical fitness is required as the route includes uphill and downhill sections.
- Closed-toe athletic shoes are recommended.
- Layered clothing and sun protection (sunglasses, hat, sunscreen in summer) are recommended.
- Bring a bottle or cup of water.
- In case of unfavorable weather conditions, the guide reserves the right to change or cancel the tour.
