Overview
Type of Tour: Guided Walking Tour on Sharing Basis. (Small Group Tour Max 8 guests)
Tour Operates: Every Monday & Thursday.
Tour Timing: Total 3 to 4 hrs.
Overall Walking: 03-04 Kms approx on uneven surfaces.
Language: English only
Starting Time: Dec & Jan – 2.45 pm, Feb & Mar – 3 pm, Apr & May 3.30 pm, Jun & Jul – 4 pm, Aug & Sep – 3.30 pm. Oct & Nov-3 Pm.
Places To Visit: In this tour we will visit Sivananda Ashram, Ram Jhula Bridge, Swargashram Market, Gita Bhawan Ashram and Parmarth Niketan Ashram. Evening Ganga Aarti at Parmarth Niketan is also part of the tour. Guide will explain about places you visit and apart from that you will also get some interesting information on Rishikesh, ashrams, temples, hindu religion and of course the holy river ganga.
Cost: You can pay whatever you think the tour deserve. If you don’t like the tour don’t pay. We prefer guests make payment in envelope.

On arrival
Madras Cafe is just next to the Ram Jhula Taxi stand. It is on left hand side. Guide will meet outside the cafe. You can ask for direction to Taxi stand near Ram Jhula to anyone.
Things to note
1. Starting time is different in different months due to sunset time. Starting Time: Dec & Jan – 2.45 pm, Feb & Mar – 3 pm, Apr & May 3.30 pm, Jun & Jul – 4 pm, Aug & Sep – 3.30 pm. Oct & Nov-3 Pm.
2. Ending point is same as starting point.
3. Tour require walking on uneven surface and it is not wheelchair friendly.
4. Auto rickshaws / taxis are easily available near the ending point of the tour. Sharing basis auto rickshaws are also available which cost 10-20 rs per person. You can ask your guide for economy and safe way to your hotel. Auto rickshaw will cost 100-250 depend on how far is your hotel.
5. There is no entry fees at any places mentioned in the tour. At temples or ashram some people pay donation but it is not compulsory.
6. Due to visit to religious places dress modestly.
