Overview
This tour in the Emberá community starts from Panama City and lasts 8 hours. The tour begins when your guide picks you up at your hotel or residence at 8:00 am to take you to Puerto Corotu.
Then, in Puerto Corotu you will board a boat, where you will be given a lifeguard, and your guide will tell you about the history of this site. There are chances that you can see some animals while taking the Chagres River tour in the boat that will take you to the Emberá Drua Village.
Upon arriving at the village you will be welcomed by the members of the community with a welcome dance if you wish you can join to dance with them.
Then they will share with you their customs and traditions. You will also have the opportunity to buy handicrafts made by the members of the community and they will invite you to make a temporary painting on your body if you wish, just as the Emberá do with a natural fruit called “Jagua”. You can take photos and enjoy your passage for 2 hours in the village.

Things to note
Bring sunscreen, bath clothes, towels, water and any medicine you need and carry all your personal documents in zipper bags because it can rain or get wet it is better to be prepared!
