Kitulgala Adventure Day Tour

The Kitulgala is 95km far from Colombo, one of the wettest Rainforests in Sri Lanka. The Academy Award winning movie The Bridge on the River Kwai was filmed on the Kelani River near Kitulgala, although nothing remains now except for the concrete foundation of the bridge. Kitulgala is the base for white-water rafting in Sri Lanka but there are myriad of leisure and adventure activities that can be done in Kutulgala. Apart from white water rafting, Kitulgala affords the opportunity to engage in nature adventure, jungle trekking, outdoor camping, mountain biking and Bird Watching.

Experience White water rafting in the picturesque Kalani River, covering 5 major rapids and 4 minor rapids with the distance covered is around 5KMs. Modern rafts and a comprehensive safety briefing will be given by white water rafting instructor beforehand. Once the rafting session ends be dropped back to your hotel in Negombo.
