Madaba, a charming town in central Jordan, is known for its stunning Byzantine and Umayyad mosaics, earning it the nickname “The City of Mosaics.” Located just 30 kilometers southwest of Amman, Madaba is a cultural and historical gem that offers a fascinating glimpse into the region’s ancient past. The town’s most famous mosaic is the 6th-century Map of the Holy Land, housed in the Greek Orthodox Church of St. George.
