Shakespeare, Harry Potter and the Historic Thames
Overview of the tour in London
Let me take you on a journey along a river that has something for everyone! From a vibrant culture, to a chequered and bloody history, the Thames never fails to disappoint. However, this guided walk will give you more than most walks, in that you will be treated to lively excerpts from Shakespeare, as we discover where the Bard worked and played.
This was the rough part of town, outside the city walls, containing taverns, brothels, prisons and theatres. This district is now full of some of London's most famous landmarks, and we will see all of them during our journey together.
I will take you to London's greatest food market; we will walk over the city's newest bridge, and pass four more with stories of their own to tell. Film locations from Harry Potter, Bridget Jones and many more will be pointed out, as we make our way towards the iconic Tower Bridge.
This is an interactive, entertaining and educational tour with an enthusiastic Londoner, proud of his city, and eager to show you all it has to offer, as well as answer you many questions.
So join me for bridges, movies, Shakespeare, prisons, museums, boats and many unusual surprises!
