Overview

Join me on an adventure through the streets of London. Since 1954, when the first set of lights went up on Regent's Street, London's Christmas Lights have got bigger and more extravagant each year. Making London's streetlights the best in the world. Find out how the Royal Family and the City of Westminster are able to get agreement from all the businesses to share in the cost of the lights. Who in Britain popularised the Christmas Tree? Why did the Puritans cancel Christmas? What is a Piccadilly? Why do we kiss under Mistletoe?

Fun facts, stories, and history throughout.
You will see:
Oxford Street Lights
Bond Street
Regents Street
Piccadilly Circus
Leicester Square Christmas Market and Ice Rink
Covent Garden Christmas Tree
And some other little secrets, like Annabel's, Fortnum and Masons, Neill Strain Floral Couture, Seven Dialls, Gas lit alleyways, and many more.

The tour starts at 7 pm to avoid the crowds.
For your comfort, on some nights, the tour will operate an alternate, quieter route if the streets get too busy. Friday's and Saturday's are particularly busy.

Meeting point

Disney Store, 350-352 Oxford St London

On arrival

Exit Bond Street Tube Station and look for the Disney Store. The meeting point is between the Elizabeth Line exit of Bond Street Tube and the Disney Store on Marylebone Lane. Marylebone Lane is weirdly "Y" shaped and is also on the other side of the Disney Store, so don't go there.
