On arrival
Dark blue umbrellas near the statue of Afonso de Albuquerque (and yellow letters saying FREE TOUR).
If you get lost on the way to the meeting point, you can reach us by WhatsApp. Please take into consideration that it usually takes about 45 to 60 minutes to get from the center of Lisbon to Belém using public transportation. To help you find the guides, we remind you that the meeting point is at Jardim Afonso de Albuquerque, near the statue.
Groups of 7 or more are always welcome. In this case, we require a deposit of €12 per adult (12 years old or more) and 7 Euros per children (6 years old or more). This principle results from the need to protect and value the level of quality and dedication that we demand from our local Take Lisboa guides.
Things to note
Bem-vindos a Belém and the Blue Umbrella company!
Belém, where everything began. The Portugal of the Infante gave "new worlds to the world" (Camões), fulfilling a higher purpose for "God wills, man dreams, the work is born" (Pessoa). Belém, where World Heritage Monuments face the river as once Portuguese sailors faced the Atlantic and the unknown.
Being a free tour, all we ask is that you show up, and if not, please cancel, so others may join.
See you soon!
How can the tour be free?
Our concept is simple — there is no set price. Instead, you tip your guide at the end of the tour whatever amount feels right to you. Typically, guests give between $10 to €50, depending on their satisfaction and budget.
Most guides accept cash or card payments, or you can do it via our app.
Free Cancellation
You are free to cancel a booking anytime. We kindly remind you to cancel bookings you cannot arrive for. Being reported as absent decreases your customer level points and the benefits you can enjoy.
