Kampala City Free Walking Tour
Overview of the tour in Kampala
We will walk to the Uganda Museum, the center of Ugandan history. It has some remarkable collections and will introduce to you Uganda's cultural heritage.
Then we will walk to the Wandegeya neighborhood a student town where Makerere University is located. There you may try the famous TV chicken (a Ugandan dish popular among students that is cooked in a TV-shaped oven).
Afterward, we will continue on to a flea art market, where you will be able to buy some local craft products.
Onwards to the Constitutional Square, where the world war memorial is.
Then on to the Independence Monument on Speke Road.
Down to City Hall and Parliament.
We catch a breather at Java Cafe for bathroom breaks and coffee.
We then head to Nakasero Market, The Hindu Temples, Old and New Taxi Parks, and Owino Market.
We crown off our Kampala Shenanigans with a visit to the Gaddhafi Mosque and a hike up its minaret which gives a bird's eye view of Kampala.
