Overview of the tour in Guatavita
Our tour will start in the municipality of Suesca at 9 am, we will meet at the entrance of the imposing Rocks of Suesca.
In our first part we will make a walking tour circuit type of approximately 18 kilometers on the imposing cliff where you can appreciate the typical life of rural areas, you will know the architecture of these places, you will see beautiful landscapes where you will be able to see the canyon of the owls and the Bogota River. Then we will go through a private nature reserve where you will learn a little about the biodiversity of this area of Cundinamarca and own characteristics on ecosystems given to 2500 meters above sea level.
After passing this beautiful natural space where we can connect with the sounds of nature, birds and river, we will arrive at a rural area known by the name of Güita, which translates to the witches' paths of the Chibcha language used by the Muisca Indians who inhabited these lands. We will go to a viewpoint to appreciate from another perspective the canyon and the rocks of Suesca to return to the center of town and finish in a warm cafe to taste a dessert or typical delicacies. On arrival
If you are in the city of Bogotá it is very easy to get to Suesca. By public transportation you can get to the terminal Norte station of Transmilenio then exit and locate the terminal del Norte, which is located on the eastern side. You will look for the entrance of the buses Sabaneros and there you will have to look for the exit of the buses that go to Suesca, you will arrive in approximately 1 hour and a half. The bus is from the company Alianza and the cost of transportation from the terminal to the meeting point is $ 10,000 COP or $ 2.5 USD. You can also arrive by private car, just copy the location link of our meeting point and you will arrive to Suesca. From the north exit without much traffic in 1 hour you will arrive to Suesca. The meeting point is a store very close to the start of our hike. The store is called La Avenida; there you can buy snacks, water or even breakfast. Things to note
In order to have a pleasant and comfortable experience it is important to bring clothes to walk fast drying type or lycra, tennis or boots with good grip, waterproof jacket, some overalls for the cold in case it is required can be very useful, hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, hydration 2 liters, snacks and cash if you want to eat something at the end of the walk or get something in the store the avenue that will be our meeting point. It is also essential that you carry a photo or ID or passport.
