Schönberg Hiking - Nature Tour

Overview of the tour in Freiburg

If you love nature, walking through the forest and beautiful landscapes this is your place.

Schönberg is a hill located right next to the Freiburg city and it is also part of The Black Forest. Going through the green district of Vauban we will start in one of the most modern and sustainable districts in the world to begin walking along community gardens and vineyards to feel part of the essence of Freiburg.

Here you will be able to enjoy nature and know more about the history of the city, the history of the black forest, and what is happening in this ecosystem.

Fresh air all along a relaxed circular route of 8,5km (approximately 3 hours) hiking to the top of the hill where we will have a beautiful view of the Schauinsland mountain, the Rhine Valley, and Freiburg.

On arrival

From Freiburg city center, either directly from the central train station or from the history center, take tram line number 3 in the direction of Vauban. The ticket is purchased inside the tram and you have to get to the last station called Innsbrucker Straße.

Right there I will be waiting for you =)

Things to note

Hiking tours: regardless of which hiking tour are you participating it is always important in a hike to bring: water (1 litter minimum), snacks (something not too heavy), sun cream in summer and/or a hat, comfortable shoes and cloth according to the season (preferably hiking clothes) and a small bag to bring back the garbage =) always enjoying and taking care of Nature.

aaaa also an umbrella because in Germany you never know.
