7 Ausangate Lakes + Hot Springs and Food in Cusco

Overview of the tour in Cusco

We will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco from 4:30 am to 5:00 am. Then we will travel by tourist transport for approximately 3 hours to the village of Pacchanta. In this place we will have breakfast and start the hike, we will ascend little by little until we arrive to our first lagoon, and so on the following ones.

The hike has a duration of 5 hours between round trip. During the journey, we will visit the lagoons of different colors characterized by their blue, turquoise and green colors. Also, some of them are large and look like natural mirrors. The lagoons to visit are: Azulcocha, Otorongo, Pucacocha, Alqacocha, Q'omercocha, Orqo Otorongo and China Otorongo.

On the way, we will also see Andean birds, alpacas, llamas, and vizcachas. After that, we will return to Pacchanta. We will enjoy a delicious lunch and then relax in the hot springs.

After the hot springs we will return to Cusco city, arriving to Cusco at 7:30 p.m. soon.

On arrival

We will meet at Plaza Regocijo, from there we will head to our destination.

Please bring:
Cach for entrance to the lagoons and hot springs. S/30.00 soles
-1 liter and a half of water (per person, at least!).
-Personal snack (optional).
-Waterproof trekking shoes.
-Polar suit (thermal underwear, hat, gloves and socks).
-Waterproof clothing (poncho).
-Synthetic or cotton clothing (socks, pants, shorts, T-shirts).
-Sun hat and sunglasses.
-Sun block.
-Reusable water bottles.
-Basic medications.
-Personal belongings.
