Overview of the tour in Cusco

Welcome to the tour! This tour begins in San Blas Square at 9:00 am. Our meeting point will be at the cross of the church. Once we have met, we will begin our tour heading to Saqsayhuaman. We will walk approximately 20 minutes to the checkpoint, where you can buy entrance tickets to Saqsayhuaman. We will be in this place for around 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Afterwards, we will continue walking towards Qenqo. Along the way, we will visit an interpretation center where you can see the working process of silver, gold alpaca, and vicuña wool. Once we have visited Qenqo, we will head to the bus stop to go to Pucapukara and Tambomachay. If during this part of the tour, you feel a headache due to the altitude, you can chew coca leaves or coca sweets.

However, if you stay in Cusco for more than three days, you will not feel any discomfort. This problem occurs when people arrive and immediately take the tours. Therefore, my personal recommendation is to get used to the altitude little by little.

Peru has the second-highest mountain range in the world, so our tour of Qenqo will be very interesting as you will learn how the Incas practiced mummification.

On arrival

We also recommend wearing comfortable shoes and bringing chocolate, light snacks, water, and a hat or cap for your tour.
