What if we invite you to visit an open-air museum that tells the story of a community? What if we proposed to you, walk the streets of the Bairro da Torre and know their true story, told on the paintings on the buildings used to had only racist graffiti?
This is "Cascais by art", an urban art gallery that has transformed a neighborhood and the people who live there.
In addition to bringing color and positive messages to the buildings, these true works of art blocked the racist and xenophobic messages, gave opportunities to young people, brought people together and immortalized stories.
These stories are told in the first person by young guides formed to dynamize this social business. At each corner, there is a smiling hello or a curious look, and a spirit of community and friendship that for many years wasn't seen.
These paintings not only embellish the walls of the buildings but transpire culture, changes and symbolize the strength of a community.
This is a different day, that will undoubtedly make a difference!
