A Cultural Tour of the Bokaap

Overview of the tour in Cape Town

This tour explores the Colourful Bokaap residential area at the foot of Signal Hill. The tour looks at the history and architecture of the area through the eyes of the people currently living there.

We rub shoulders with the locals as we explore the history; the language; the religion; the culture and the food of those currently living in the area and hopefully we get an opportunity to taste some of the delicacies coming from the Bokaap.

And, we set ourselves up to get that perfect Instagram shot as we explore the cobbled streets and colourful houses that make up the area.

On arrival

We meet at African Gem and Minerals on Green Market Square.
Look out for the Orange Umbrella.
