Overview of the tour in Buenos Aires

San Telmo is a unique neighborhood, recognizable by its streets and places full of history that make the identity of Buenos Aires in its various stages of development, from being a peripheral suburb to an aristocratic upper-class neighborhood, and then becoming an area of ​​suburban shelters impregnated with tango and milonga.
The Río de la Plata, whose coastline is now far from the neighborhood, witnessed all the moments of a magical place that today lives to the rhythm of the sale of antiques, tourist tours and memories of the neighborhood's celebrity: Mafalda.
In the walk you will visit the Lezama Park (site of the first foundation of the city), the Russian Orthodox Church, the National Historical Museum, the Defensa Street, the Dorrego Square, the San Pedro González Telmo church, the Modern Art museums and of Contemporary Art, the Market of San Telmo, the Giuffra and San Lorenzo passages, the Old Warehouse and the Monument to Mafalda.

On arrival

The tour starts at the corner of Parque Lezama, right at the intersection of Brasil Street and Paseo Colon Avenue. At this end of the park, there is a large water source, that is our meeting point 5 minutes before the agreed start time.
The bus lines 8, 33, 62, 64, 130 and 152 come to this area, among others, all coming from the center of the city (Plaza de Mayo area) and other important points such as Retiro, Congreso, and Palermo.
The nearest Metro station of the meeting point is the Constitución station on line C.
The Lezama Park has located about 13 blocks from Plaza de Mayo, easily walkable on Paseo Colon Avenue, heading south.
