Colors of Bangkok Bike Tour
Overview of the tour in Bangkok
During the first part of the tour we see stand alone villas, luxurious apartment buildings, town houses and in between shops, companies and small factories.
We make a first stop at one of the many hidden local communities in Bangkok. We might call it a slum, but the local people call it ‘home’. The people who live here belong to the poorest people in Bangkok.
We walk through this small community and stop at the slum kindergarten. The very poorest children receive education here while their parents are working.
We continue our Colors of Bangkok bicycle excursion and make a stop at a sweatshop before we arrive at the pier.
Here we board a typical Thai longtail boat to cross the mighty Chao Phraya river.
At the other side of the river we find ourselves back in the ‘Jungle’ or the ‘Green Lung’ of Bangkok, the greenest area in the city.
Halfway the tour we stop at a local restaurant and provide a small Thai meal
After our meal we visit a very old, non-touristy Buddhist temple.
After that, we return to the pier where we take a short boat ride back to Bangkok again.
But before we arrive at our office/lounge we make a last stop at an open-air Muay Thai school.
This activity includes:
- Bicycle & bicycle helmet
- English speaking guide
- 2 (longtail) boat rides
- Delicious Thai snack/meal
- Water or soft drinks during the excursion
- Insurance
- Free WiFi at our lounge
- A unique and unrivalled Bangkok cycling experience

How to get to Recreational Bangkok Biking Co., Ltd.
TAXI
Most of the Bangkok hotels are located between 3 and 7 KM from our office. A convenient and easy way to get to our office is by taximeter.
The taxi ride will take approximately 20 – 50 minutes and costs between
THB 100 and THB 150 depend on where you are and traffic situation.
Bear in mind that during weekdays traffic can be pretty congested in mornings and afternoons.
Sometimes the driver will ask you if he is allowed to take the expressway. The toll- fee to use the expressway is an extra THB 50 but that is much better than getting stuck in traffic
To make sure to be on time, please leave your hotel at least 45 – 50 minutes before our tour starts.
If the driver does not want to turn on the meter, do not go into a discussion, but take the next taxi. In Bangkok there are more than 70,000 taxi’s available and most of them will provide you with correct service. If the taxi-driver does not know where our office is, ask him/her to call our office and we will explain in Thai how he/she can get to us. You can reach us on numbers 02-107 2500
BTS & BRT
It’s also possible to get to us by BTS (Sky-Train) and BRT (Yellow Bus).
Take the Sky-train to Chong Nonsi station (S3). Here change to BRT and get out at Rama 3 Road. Make a left on Rama 3 Road and the second street on your left is Soi #71. At the end of street (left side) you’ll see us.
Have a nice ride!
We are looking forward to have you on our tour.
With warm regards, Bangkok Biking Team
