The Long Parnes Tour in Athens

Overview of the tour in Athens

We will visit the most important sites at the last peak of the prefecture of Athens, in the north. The great ancient poet Sophocles is buried here! We will visit his tomb.

We will walk into the ex-royal estate and see the Palace and auxiliary old stone buildings. We will visit a church where a notorious thief of the 19th century was ambushed. We will see the train station where a famous Greek poet of the 19th century used to take his walk. We will visit his house, which is now a museum. We will visit a small church in the woods, where birds never stop singing.

Furthermore, we will visit an almost intact Mycenaean Tomb and learn the story of its eccentric owner. We will travel from place to place by private car. Wear your trekking or non-slip shoes and join me on this romantic escapade.
