Overview of the tour in Arugam Bay

Offering you full-day Kumana jeep safari tours, we’ll show you the hidden wildlife treasures of the national park that is situated approximately 35 km south of Arugam Bay. 200 hectares of the area are dedicated solely to bird watching, especially during the months of May and June. You can enjoy splendid moments watching over 200 species of birds.

Picking you up from your hotel, this safari tour from Arugam Bay will enter the park at 6.00 am, one of the best times of the day to spot animals. Explore the thick wilderness of the park for several hours in the morning, capturing the most exclusive wild animals and birds. Then, take a small break for a picnic breakfast and resume your tour to spot more exotic birds and animals.

After another hour of entertaining safari game drive, stop for your lunch and enjoy the flavors of a traditional Sri Lankan meal under the shade of some giant trees. After lunch, the tour will resume when the heat reduces and the animals become active once again, which will continue till 6:00 pm. offering you plenty of animal and birds sightings. Once your Kumana jeep safari comes to an end, our experienced drivers will drop you off at the hotel.
