Overview of the tour in Skopje

Join us on an exciting excursion to Mavrovo National Park, the largest of North Macedonia's four national parks. Discover the park's three alpine mountain systems: Šar, Korab, and Bistra.

We will begin our adventure with a pickup in Skopje, and in approximately 80 minutes, we will arrive in this little paradise. Upon arrival, we will visit the Church of St. Nicholas, built in 1850 and now submerged under the waters of Lake Mavrovo.

In the village, we will meet a young family who moved from Skopje and enjoy a small snack before continuing towards the town of Galičnik. Along the way, we will admire the impressive surrounding landscape, with endless meadows that take your breath away.

Galičnik will welcome us with its well-preserved traditional architecture, an amphitheater in the town square and regional art, clothing and music. We will visit some houses, the central church of St. Peter and St. Paul, and enjoy a delicious traditional lunch at a local family restaurant.

Our last destination will be the monastery of Saint Jovan Bigorski, which is hidden in the mountains and has a thousand years of history. Admire its exceptional wood carvings and immerse yourself in monastic life.
