Overview of the tour in Shkoder
-Visit the City of Shkoder, Lake Shkodar and Rozafa Castle, and Mesi Bridge.
In the morning we drive to Shkodra, the most important city in northern Albania, located on a beautiful plain in front of the largest lake in the Balkans that bears the name of the city and with the Albanian Alps as a backdrop.
Shkodra is the only Illyrian capital mentioned in the 3rd-2nd centuries BC. Visiting Rozafa Castle, we will not only experience the supremacy the Illyrians would have felt over their enemies standing in such an imposing castle, but we will also admire stunning 360-degree views.
-Visit the city of Kruja, the old Bazaar, and the Museum of the National Hero Gjergj Katrioti Skenderbeu.
Kruja, the center of the Albanian resistance against the Ottomans under the command of our National Hero, Scanderbeg. He prevented Ottoman armies from crossing into Western Europe for 25 years, thus earning himself the title of "Athleta Christi" bestowed by the Pope at the time.
We will visit the Skanderbeg Museum and the famous Kruja Bazaar. We spend some free time on our own before heading back to the capital. Return to Tirana. End of our service
