The Jewish Quarter of Seville - Barrio de Santa Cruz
Overview of the tour in Seville
Patio de Banderas:
Current exit of the Reales Alcázares, it gives access to the Sevillian Jewish quarter through a narrow and intricate passage.
Plaza de Doña Elvira:
One of the most charming squares in the Santa Cruz neighborhood that was what it is today.
Susona Street:
Calle Susona, or street of death. A place that hosted a tale of love, betrayal and repentance worthy of a best seller. You can not miss this story.
Plaza de los Venerables:
On one side, we have one of the best examples of Sevillian baroque: the Hospital de los Venerables Sacerdotes, and on the other side ... the Hostería del Laurel, does it sound familiar, something to do with the very Don Juan Tenorio.
Santa Cruz Square:
In this square there was a mosque, a synagogue and a church, where the painter Murillo was also buried.
Santa María la Blanca:
A small church, which was once one of the synagogues of the Jewish quarter of Seville, but today is a baroque church, and one of the most special.
