Seville Golden Age Free Tour
Overview of the tour in Seville
We will meet at the Plaza de San Francisco to begin a walking tour that will allow us to know the most glorious era of Seville. Let's go there!
"Who has not seen Seville, has not seen wonder". It was the most common phrase when talking about the Andalusian capital in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. We will walk through the streets of the city to remember the important events that took place here in the so-called Golden Age.
During our free tour we will admire the Plaza del Triunfo, known for the famous triangle of Unesco. We will admire the exteriors of the Archivo General de Indias, the Real Alcazar of Seville and the cathedral.
We will visit the Casa de la Contratación, a key place to understand the Sevillian Golden Age.
We will continue walking and seeing other emblematic buildings such as the Real Casa de la Moneda, the Aduana, the church of La Caridad or the Atarazanas. We will also approach the Guadalquivir to admire the Torre del Oro (Golden Tower) while we review the fascinating expeditions of Magellan and Elcano.
