Overview of the tour in Santiago

My name is Camila Rodríguez, a geographer by profession and a lover of heritage. I invite you to get to know with me the city of Santiago from a historical-cultural point of view, covering buildings, places and details that are often overlooked when touring the capital of Chile.

We will begin this tour in the oldest standing building in Santiago, the Church and museum of San Francisco, to continue our tour in the Paris-London neighborhood. We will continue our tour commenting on the cultural and political importance of buildings such as the Central House of the University of Chile, the Club La Union and the Banco Estado, passing by the picturesque Paseo Bandera. The walk will continue along Paseo Bulnes, in front of La Moneda, commenting on its history and details present in its buildings.

Finally, we will finish in the Almagro Park sector, where the imposing Basilica of the Blessed Sacrament, the book fair and the emblematic Diana Games are located, where we will end our tour inviting you to know the neighborhood and with direct connection to the subway station "Almagro Park".

This activity includes:

  • Iglesia de San Francisco, Santiago de Chile
  • University of Chile
  • Museo de Arte Colonial de San Francisco
  • Paseo Bulnes
  • Almagro Park
  • Basilica of the Blessed Sacrament
