Overview of the tour in Samarkand

A four-hour tour to Samarkand is a promising wonderful journey to one of the greatest cities in the world - legendary Samarkand. You will visit all the main attractions: Gur Emir, the mausoleum of Temur and his male relatives, Registan Square and its 3 famous madrassahs, Bibi Khanym mosque, Hazrat Khyzr Mosque, and Shahi Zinda complex.

1.Gur Emir Mausoleum Gur-e Amir is Persian for "Tomb of the King". This architectural complex, with its azure dome, contains the tombs of Tamerlane.

2. Registan, the heart of Samarkand and a real visitcard of Central Asian medieval architecture, consists of three grandiose buildings: Ulughbek Madrassa, Madrassa Sherdor, and Madrassa Tilla Kori.

3. Bibi Khanym Mosque In the 15th century, it was one of the largest and most magnificent mosques in the Islamic world. It is considered a masterpiece of the Timurid Renaissance.

4. Hazrat Khyzr Mosque It is the first Moslem mosque of Samarkand. It stands on a natural elevation where steep stairs lead. The mosque consists of aivan and khanaka.

5. The Shah-i-Zinda Ensemble includes mausoleums and other ritual buildings of 11th – 15th and 19th centuries.
