Overview of the tour in Nizhny Novgorod

We`ll start from Chkalov monument, the statue of the Sovier star aviator of the 1930s
which is an excellent panoramic view at the city main Minin square,
and proceed with the Kremlin walk and its heritage buildings, then visit Michael Archangel cathedral.
We may exit the Kremlin territory either from St.John the Baptist tower facing national Unity square
with John the Baptist Church and the monument to national heros Minin & Pozharsky, or, alternatively,
through a small hidden door on hilltop, to have a proper view of the neighborhood Pochayna area.
This freetour may be extended upon request, if you wish to see more.
This tour is available Monday/Saturday 6 p.m. in September2017 and later on Saturday upon prior request.
Language by default: English (can be also done in Italian or French, upon group request)
A modest tip will be appreciated (I`m a professional translator & guide, even got a license, just doing extra hours).

On arrival

You may get to Minin square/Kremlin by any public transport means, on the riverside extremity of Minin square there is a monument to Soviet star aviator Valery Chkalov, that`s going to be our meeting point.

Things to note

Optionally you may start early with a visit to Nizhny Novgorod Art Museum (closed Thursday) or Arsenal contemporary art center (closed Monday) , both are inside the Kremlin.
It`s also recommended to have an umbrella in case of rain and comfortable shoes.
Please let me know in advance if you have children or seniors in your group, so we plan accordingly.
Proper public toilet is inside Arsenal building (in both wings), from noon till 8 p.m.
and/or yellow heritage hut in front of St.Dimitry tower.
Good coffee is available in Arsenal cafe.
